Sacramento PITS is the observed trials club for Northern California, USA, and is a non-profit organization, chartered to promote the sport of observed motorcycle trials. Membership is mostly from the Sacramento Valley, the San Joaquin Valley and the San Francisco Bay area, but also includes active members from both Southern California and Northern Nevada.
Monthly PITS meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the 2nd Wednesday, at The Printer, 2810 Cowell Blvd, Davis, CA 95618. Phone (530) 753-2519.

The 2011 PITS Awards Banquet is Saturday, January 28th. It starts at 5 pm with dinner at 6 pm. That's a little earlier than in previous years, to allow evryone to get home a little earlier.
If you have trials pictures you'd like to share at the Banquest, send 'em to Howard Galbreath (electronic files prefered). They will be included in a computer presentation that will run continuously.
Check out the Annual Points to see if you earned an award. (Note - Don't make Rick carry your award with him to all the 2012 trials - he's about out of room. He currently has about 40 unclaimed organizer hats, and who knows how many past rider tropies). If he has one of yours, give him a call and make arrangements to take it/them off his hands.

Mike Slaight has volunteered to head the Youth Trial effort for 2012. For parents with questions and for all who'd like to help, give him a call at 530-417-6380

The site and date for the 2011 PITS Awards Banquet have been set - it'll be at the Cattlemen's off Hiway 50 in Rancho Cordova, on January 28th.
If you didn't receive Banquet flyer / sign-up sheet in your snail mail, please click here, print it, then complete the form at the bottom and send it in. If you earned an Annual Award for 2011, please plan to attend the Banquet (or make arrangements for someone to pick up your award). The award winners will be posted here, soon.

The unofficial, make-up school for checkers, organizers, and riders went very well at Prairie City SVRA. Although not an official event, over 30 PITS members showed-up and learned more about the various aspects of trials. It was a great experience for all attendees, who are now more confident about their abilities to both ride trials, as well as, how to fill the absolutely essential volunteer positions of organizer and checker.

Paul Master has the 2012 Event Calendar on the run. As soon as it's finalized, it'll be posted here. Many Kudos to Paul for taking on the 2012 calendar task. (It's one of the more thankless PITS jobs. It's a very time consuming excersize in "herding cats." Way to go Paul!)

The PITS Handbook for 2012 is about one draft away from being final. Sherwood Gibson started updating the PITS Rules then he grabbged the bull by the horms and started updating the PITS Handbook. He's gotten support from Paul Master, but not much from the rest of us. (This is another "thankless" job, but oh so necessary.)
